Mr. Clean... Mr. Clean...

Gets rid of dirt and grime,
and grease in just a minute!
Mr. Clean will clean your whole house,
And everything that's in it!
Carter absolutely LOVES wipes! Whenever he sees his diaper bag open, he goes straight for the wipes! On this particular evening before bathtime, Carter decided to clean the rocker, ottoman, and his book shelf. We guess he has seen us wiping things off with a dust cloth and decided that it looked like fun. He's our little Mr. Clean!

"Oops... I missed a spot!"

Carter and the "oof, oof"!

The first time we took Carter to the zoo, we weren't able to go to Kid's Cove. The morning of Saturday, April 17th we got up and decided to go to the zoo. Carter is obsessed lately with dogs or as he calls them "oof, oof". He was SO excited to be at the zoo. We took him straight to the petting zoo area at the Kid's Cove and he LOVED it! He kept saying "oof, oof" "oof, oof" and pointing at each goat. The next time we visit we are definitely taking the video camera to capture him on film. It's so adorable to see how happy he gets being in the petting zoo. We had such an amazing time together as a family on this beautiful day!

He would quickly touch the goat and then look at us and smile! It was too cute!

"Peek-A-Boo!"

Carter had so much fun playing on the equipment!

Joe put him on the tractor and it was a battle to try to get him off! He loved steering the wheel!

Hurricane Carter

Now that Carter is mobile, we only leave his bedroom door and the bonus room door open. We don't want him getting into anything that he shouldn't be into (which he can do in a second!). Courtney was in the bonus room and Carter was running back and forth between there and his bedroom. Courtney noticed that Carter had been in his room for a few minutes without coming back so she went to check on him and this is what she found...
"Did I do that?"

He pulled out his clean clothes, dirty clothes, and a few of this toys!

After making his mess, he thought he'd take a break and read a book... upside down!

Easter Dinner

When we got to Guggy and Grammy's house for Easter dinner, we let Carter practice egg hunting before the actually egg hunt with his cousins. We thought this may help him understand how to put the eggs in his basket. (He likes to find one for each hand and then be finished!) Aunt Mandi and Uncle Aaron hid all the eggs and they hid Grammy's prize egg for each grandchild. First everyone ate dinner and then it was egg hunt time! The kids had a fun time running around in the yard trying to find all the eggs. Carter had more fun watching all the cousins run around than actually finding eggs himself! Carter loves his cousins so much and enjoys spending time with them each week!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday! This was our Sunday at church to hand out bulletins and greet people at the door. We decided to let Carter stay with us since it was Easter. He was such a ham smiling and checking out everyone. It was the perfect job for our curious boy! After church we came home and saw that the Easter bunny had left a surprise for Carter in the yard! At first, he wasn't too interested in his surprsie until he discovered that he could take all the stuff out of the basket! We are so thankful to God for our little family and all the wonderful memories we are creating together!

So Much To See and ZOO!!

Aunt Mandi told us about a wonderful, new experience on Saturday, April 3rd... an elephant Easter egg hunt! The zoo was actually allowing visitors to hide "eggs" for the elephants in the elephant enclosure. The "eggs" were made out of paper mache and filled with fruits and vegetables so that the elephants could enjoy an Easter treat! We had such a great time participating in the egg hunt and visiting the Zoo! Carter was curious about everything that he saw! He was so funny because he would crane his neck and hunker down to check the animals out! We are looking forward to visiting the zoo again this summer (since we now have a zoo pass!).
Ready for some Zoo fun!

Our first stop was the camel! Carter was very curious about this big animal!
It tried to lick both Carter and Courtney with it's slobber! ICK!
This summer Joe and Carter are going to go on a camel ride!
Joe and Carter ready to hide Tonka's egg!
Carter was looking through the hole in the top and saw the food!

Carter was so proud of himself!

Waiting for the zookeepers to let Tonka start his egg hunt!
The visitors hid a total of 6 eggs around the elephant enclosure!

Tonka put his trunk up to the tree and found Carter's egg very quickly!
He is so intelligent!

In one quick swing of his trunk, the egg was gone!
He gobbled it up!

After the elephants, we saw the zebras.
Carter could actually see them standing by the rocks!

Our little nosey rosey looking at the zebras!
He was watching everything so intently!

We stopped at the jeep for some pics. and Carter had the best time!
He wanted to "drive" but Cousin Owen got to it first (check out Carter's hand on the wheel!).
Cousin Reed was just along for the ride!

We let Carter have his own turn "driving" the jeep!
Can you tell he likes it?

"What is inside here?"
Checking out the chimps!

He was worn out after an afternoon at the zoo!
We made him a giraffe from one of the wax machines and he loves that silly thing!
We call it "Geoffrey the Giraffe"!

Carter's First Hair Cut

We took Carter outside to play on beautiful Good Friday (April 2nd). He went straight to the flower beds with the mulch and dirt! After a long afternoon of playing outside, we decided it was time to say goodbye to Carter's growing rat-tail! Carter had some long hairs around his ears and a larger section of long hair growing from the back of his head (his rat-tail). We took this task upon ourselves since it didn't require too much right now. Since he was so dirty from outside, Courtney put Carter in the kitchen sink for the 1st time and he loved it! He loved playing with the running water and tried to drink every drop that can out of the faucet. Courtney got too nervous about cutting Carter's hair so Joe took over the job. We were so thankful that Carter wasn't bothered by any of it! We hope that attitude continues for future haircuts!
Having fun in the dirt!

Just a diggin'!

"Look what I found... Dirt!"

Bathtime in the sink!

He loved every minute of it!

Carter enjoys trying to brush/comb his own hair. When he saw the comb, he immediately started "combing" his hair!
