Trick-or-Treat!

Our third event on Halloween was... trick-or-treating! After we dressed Carter and Camden in their adorable fluffy dog and cat costumes, we loaded them into our wagon and headed around the neighborhood. Courtney was determined to have Carter and Camden match this year. Thankfully Carter went along with that idea but we'll wait and see if he will next year! After Carter realized that he got candy each time he rang a doorbell, he insisted that we go to EACH house in our neighborhood! Good thing they don't have to go to daycare because we were some of the last trick-or-treaters in the neighborhood! Courtney ended up taking Camden back home because it was getting very cold out and we wanted to hand out our treats to the other trick-or-treaters. Carter had such a blast and filled up his bucket 3 times!

Several houses had to leave the treats outside so that they could go trick-or-treating. Why didn't we think of that?

Camden ended up riding in the wagon by herself because Carter was too excited to sit down at all!

Camden was done for the night!

Pumpkin Carving!

After treat buckets, it was time for Carter to help carve our pumpkin that we got at Oakes Farm pumpkin patch. Since we were a little rushed for time, we went with a simple design that Carter could actually help with- the typical triangle eyes, triangle nose, and crooked smile! He was excited about carving a pumpkin with his daddy this year and getting to draw the face on it!

Drawing the triangle eyes!
Having fun drawing the crooked mouth!

Can you tell he is having a blast?

Eeewwww! Carter did not like the seeds... at first!

Carter using the little scoop to get all the seeds out! He really started to enjoy this part!Joe used the knife to cut out the face since it was a little too dangerous for Carter just yet and then he cleaned it off with rubbing alcohol! Ta-Da: Our Halloween Jack-O-Lantern!

Halloween Treats!

We had a very busy Halloween night on Monday, October 31st. Joe came home a little earlier than normal so that we could have time to fit everything in. The first event of the night... Halloween treat! Each year, Courtney enjoys putting together a Halloween treat bucket for Carter and this year she made one for Camden too! Carter is now at the age where he LOVES candy and chocolate so she found a few of his favorites for his bucket- a new Pez dispenser,DumDum suckers, Reese cups, Nerds Rope, and a few random treats. With Camden being so little, she got some new toys, Hello Kitty hairbows (so, so cute!), and wipes. Next event... pumpkin carving!

Ready for Carter and Camden to find their treats!

Carter likes to watch "Phineas and Ferb" so Courtney found him a Perry Pez dispenser! He is showing us what Perry says... erererererer!

Grammy's Halloween Treats

As always, we had our wonderful family dinner on Sunday, October 30th at Grammy's house. Grammy had made Halloween treat buckets for all the grandkids since we don't go trick-or-treating at her house. The buckets were full of all kinds of goodies! The first two pictures are from the day before, Saturday, October 29th. Courtney found an outfit that we had originally bought for Carter when he was a baby but he was too big by the time Halloween came around to wear it. Camden barely fit into it now too! At least we got one use out of it!

Thank you for the treat buckets, Grammy! We love you!

Camden's 4 months old!

On Monday, October 24th, our little Chubbalicious had her 4 month old check-up with Dr. Roberts. She is a healthy 17 pounds 9 ounces which puts her in the 95th percentile for weight! She measured 25.25 inches which puts her in the 90th percentile for height! Her head is only 15.75 inches round which puts her in the 25th percentile for head circumference. She is following in Carter's footsteps with every pound she gains! She has started rolling over from her belly to back and back to belly so we have started letting her sleep on her belly now- which has been WONDERFUL for helping her sleep through the night! She is definitely going to be a talker when she gets older- she squeals and babbles all the time and nothing gets her laughing more than Carter! They are just too cute when they play together! Carter is going to love having a little playmate around when she can actually do even more!

Just kicking it back on the scale!
Getting measured!

Camden loves doing splits! Maybe she was trying to show us her boo-boo foot where they pricked her?

Carter is such a sweet big brother! He wanted to hold Camden and let her borrow his blankie since she was crying from her shots! Grammy went to help out since Carter was getting his flu shot and Camden was getting her 4 month shots! What a lifesaver! Thanks Grammy for helping Mommy out!

Our Day at Oakes Farm 2011

Our family, along with Grammy and the Hassell girls, spent Saturday, October 22nd at Oakes Farm in Corryton. We went last year with Carter and he had so much fun so we decided to go again this year! It was also a nice treat that Joe found an incredibe deal on Groupon for all of us to go for only $11! What a bargain! Oakes Farm had added more activities since last year so we were there quite a while. Anything involving outside is always a hit with Carter so this was a nice treat to let him run wild and do something fun where all 4 of us could play together! The cutest vegetables in town! (L to R: Carter, Ellie, Camden, Zoe, and Ainsley)
Carter loved this tractor! It was there for a decoration but he climbed up on it to play!

When we got to the pumpkin patch, Carter took off and tried to pick up the first pumpkin he spotted!

Courtney found the perfect little pumpkin... our littlest pumpkin, Camden!

Carter LOVES animals so he had a ball petting the little ponies!

Camden, Daddy, and Carter sliding! WHHHEEEE!!

We decided not to go in the large Corn Maze with 2 sleepy kids so we opted for the kids' Corn Maze instead. Carter had fun guiding us through and marking our map.

Our last stop for the day... the Hay Maze! Carter ran through this about 10 times!
