Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

We were blessed with 3 snow days off from school on Monday, January 10 thru Wednesday, January 12th! It was such a nice treat to get to have unexpected family time! Carter thoroughly enjoys snow- we're afraid he is going to think that is snows around here all the time! As soon as he looks outside and sees the snow, he's ready to go play. We ate breakfast, got bundled up, and headed outside to play. Growing up, Courtney's parents always said "Brrrrr Rabbit!" when it was cold outside and that's something that Courtney now tells Carter. Instead of "Brrrrr Rabbit!", Carter decided to say "Cold Rabbit!" or "Warm Rabbit!" depending on the weather. It's hilarious! At least he understands the concept of "brrrrr"!
Carter getting ready for some snow fun!

We had a quick wardrobe change with his gloves- he wanted to be able to grab at the snow and he couldn't with the thick, waterproof gloves.

He thinks he always needs to sweep the snow away!

Making snowballs with his Daddy!

Ready to go sledding down the first small hill! WHEEEE!

Going to the big hill for a sledding adventure!

His cheeks were getting chapped-looking so we wrapped a big scarf around him which he didn't seem to mind!

Carter had to get his own sled to pull along just like his Daddy!

We remembered that Carter had an Elmo ski mask from MawMaw so we tried it out.

Carter loved to pass snowballs back and forth! What a wonderful, snowy day!

Bouncing the Day Away!

Before school started back, we met up with The Brantleys at Bounce U.S.A. on Monday, January 3rd. Carter hadn't been in almost a year so this was a new experience all over again! He loved it! He went non-stop the entire time we were there and didn't want to leave when it was time to go home! He loves to jump and this was the perfect place for him! He always wants to jump on The Taylors trampoline regardless of the weather when we are over at their house. The kids had a great time playing together and running all over the place! We'll have to go back again to let Carter bounce the day away!
On the first obstacle course of the night!

If at first you don't succeed...

get Daddy to help! Carter thought this was just the funniest thing!

Carter loves his "Katie Girl"

Carter still loves a ball pit! It's one of his favorite things of all time!

Matthew joined in the fun! These two were hilarious together- they were falling and crawling all over each other!

Having a ball with Katie and Matthew!

Ready to slide down the BIG slide... by himself!

Crawling through the maze!

All worn out yet refusing to go home!

Carter and the farm animals

Carter was so excited being at Nanny and Grandaddy's because he kept telling us he saw "zebras" outside. They own horses, a pig, a ferrat, and dogs- a little boy's paradise! We took Carter outside and Grandaddy got some food for the animals. We didn't stay outside long because it was freezing. Carter had a blast regardless of the cold temperature!

Grandaddy got a bucket of corn so that Carter could hold it to feed the horses!

Carter would tell Joe which horse needed a turn to eat!

After the horses, it was time to feed Little Pig... who isn't so little!

Carter dumped corn into her bowl!

Carter had so much fun chasing the ferret around the sun room... and under the furniture!

" I love you, Grandaddy and Nanny! Thank you for such a fun time and for all my wonderful presents!"

Christmas with Nanny and Grandaddy

We were so fortunate to be able to go to visit with Nanny and Grandaddy in Kentucky when Carter's Aunt Lizzy, Uncle Mike, and cousin Chase were visiting from Auburn, AL. We got there on Friday, December 31st and stayed until Sunday, January 2nd. Carter LOVES his cousin Chase and only gets to see him when we Skype on the computer. The boys had such a good time together! We had such a nice belate Christmas/ New Year's with everyone! Thanks Nanny and Grandaddy for a wonderful visit and for all the nice gifts! We love you all!
Carter couldn't stop laughing while he was "wrestling" with Chase on Saturday morning!
