Aunt Mandi told us about a wonderful, new experience on Saturday, April 3rd... an elephant Easter egg hunt! The zoo was actually allowing visitors to hide "eggs" for the elephants in the elephant enclosure. The "eggs" were made out of paper mache and filled with fruits and vegetables so that the elephants could enjoy an Easter treat! We had such a great time participating in the egg hunt and visiting the Zoo! Carter was curious about everything that he saw! He was so funny because he would crane his neck and hunker down to check the animals out! We are looking forward to visiting the zoo again this summer (since we now have a zoo pass!).

Our first stop was the camel! Carter was very curious about this big animal! It tried to lick both Carter and Courtney with it's slobber! ICK!

Tonka put his trunk up to the tree and found Carter's egg very quickly! He is so intelligent!
In one quick swing of his trunk, the egg was gone! He gobbled it up!
