Pudding Painting!

On Monday, April 23rd, we decided that after dinner/before bathtime we would let the kids have fun painting with pudding.  Carter has always loved this so we thought it was time to let Camden in on the action.  This night was too funny... and messy as you can see from the pictures!  Both Carter and Camden had such a great time making such a huge mess!
 Ready to paint!
Carter started out using a spatula but quickly realized that using his hands was much more fun!
Camden smeared her pudding all around on her tray... at first!
 What fun!

Garden Growing Time!

Grammy decided that this year we were all going to help care for a garden at her house.  On Friday, April 20th, Carter, Camden, and Courtney went to Grammy's to get the garden planted!  Carter had the time of his life playing with the gardening tools, digging in the dirt, watering all the plants, etc.  It was a little boy's paradise!  He changed his shoes about a million times from rain boots to no shoes to crocs!  He had to try out everything!  Camden was our supervisor and played with her toys on a quilt under the apple trees.  When the garden was finished being planted, it was time for a big bath because both Carter and Camden were filthy!  They loved being outside all day without any boundries- one of the perks of being in the country at Grammy's!
All ready to begin!

 The cutest gardener ever!
Woody Dog decided to get in on the action of digging holes!  He's an expert!

Carter was in charge of making sure each plant got plenty of water!

Carter loved covering the corn seed with dirt!

Our little girl started standing up on her own about a week before this but she won't take a step... YET!

Ready or not, here I go!

On Tuesday, April 10th, Camden decided to conquer climbing the stairs!  Just like with Carter, she hadn't had any interest in the stairs until the 1st time she climbed them!  She was much, much slower than Carter but she did it all by herself, even though big brother wanted to help her up the last stair!  Courtney grabbed the camera and snapped away as fast as she could!
So proud of herself for getting up a few steps!
 And she's off!!
Carter giving Camden an extra boost on the last stair!
Camden turned the corner and headed right into the bonus room... with all the toys!

Zoo Firsts!

On Monday, April 9th, we took a family trip to the Zoo for a few "firsts".  We've had our family Zoo pass for years and yet somehow Carter has NEVER been on the carousel at the Knoxville Zoo!  Craziness, I know!  Carter was excited to ride the carousel but he had some rules- Dad had to ride with him and Dad had to actually ride an animal.  Carter was a little unsure at first... seeing as how he still remembers the carousel at Fantasy of Trees BREAKING with his cousin Owen riding it! (Side note: It was a VERY LOUD noise, the panels actually came off the center piece, fell to the ground and started being drug around!).  Also, we decided while we were at the Zoo to take Camden into the petting zoo area.  She's fine around our family's dogs so we didn't see much difference but as you can tell from the pictures below, she saw a HUGE difference! We hope you find them as entertaining as we do!
Carter and Dad riding the Knoxville Zoo Carousel!
Everytime they went around, Carter would wave and wave and wave!  Too cute!
We warmed Camden up by just letting her watch Carter brush the goat...
which scared her half to death and sent her clinging to Mommy for dear life!

Mommy gently put Camden's hand on the goat (notice the look of terror on Camden's face!).
Camden wasn't having any part of this!
She stayed hesitant of the goats the ENTIRE time in the petting zoo area which is the exact opposite of Carter!  He's always loved this part of the Zoo!

Easter with Grammy Bunny!

For Easter dinner, we went to Grammy's house for a yummy Grammy-cooked meal!  After a few photos of the newest bunny to the family, it was time for dinner and an egg hunt.  We have pictures of Carter on his 1st Easter with his aunts in bunny ears so we had to do the same for Camden's 1st Easter.  Carter had such a blast hunting eggs with his cousins! Camden didn't participate in the egg hunt this year but we know she'll love joining in the fun next year!
Happy Easter!

Happy Easter 2012

We had a great Easter!  On Sunday, April 8th, we went to church and then went back home to take a few pictures (and by a few... we mean a TON!).  It's hard to get pictures with both children looking and smiling at the camera at the same time!  We tried our best to get a few family pictures and some of our two precious babies together.  (Needless to say, we are not professionals!) After pictures, Carter drove his "Red Gator" around trying to see if he could find anything the Easter Bunny had left.  He was so excited when he drove it around to the side of the house to find him and Camden's Easter baskets!  The Easter Bunny also left a new game- The Golden Egg Hunt- where Carter had to figure out clues until he found the Golden Egg (a supersized egg with a special prize).  He had so much fun listening to the clues and trying to figure out where to go next!  We love starting new tradtions and hopefully this will be one that lasts for years to come!
 Our perfect little family!
Oh my- how we love these two little people!
Carter dressed like Dad for church on Easter!
Miss Chubbalicious was all smiles after she had a big egg to play with!
Look what the Easter Bunny left while we were at church!
Camden immediately grabbed Minnie Mouse and she was happy!
Carter was so excited to get the white bunny Pez that he wanted the Easter Bunny to bring him!

The Easter Bunny left a clue in Carter's Easter basket that led to clues all over the house...
like under the rug by the front door until...
Carter found The Golden Egg in the mailbox!
Camden and Carter got a new Mickey Mouse movie as a big prize from the Easter Bunny!

Egg Dying Time!

Aunt Mandi and Uncle Aaron (along with Reed and Owen) watched our 2 precious munchkins while we headed out for a date night... the 1st one since Camden's birth!  They came over to our house on Friday, April 6th since it was easier for Camden.  We thought it would be fun for the kiddos to dye some Easter eggs that night since Easter was Sunday.
