Circle G Ranch with MawMaw and PawPaw

After a few quick pictures for MawMaw and PawPaw's Christmas card, we all headed to Circle G Ranch for some safari fun! Once there we all piled in PawPaw's truck to go on our animal adventure! We had a great time feeding the animals, petting the animals, and playing on the playset!  Carter and PawPaw even went on a Camel Ride!  Whee!  We had a great weekend and are so happy they were able to visit!

MawMaw and PawPaw Visit

Carter and Camden were so excited that MawMaw and PawPaw were coming to visit for the weekend of Friday, November 30th - Sunday, December 2nd!  We let them stay up until they were able to get into town!  Of course MawMaw and PawPaw brought a few treats that had to be played with before the kiddos headed to bed!  Saturday was the first day of December and we thought our elf- Buddy Elf- may arrive to start keeping a close eye on us all before Christmas!  Carter was so excited to wake up Saturday and discover that Buddy Elf had arrived!!  Let the mess begin!
Carter got a new matching game- Jake and the Neverland Pirates!
Camden got a new dolly!  She loves her baby dolls!

Derreberry Family Thanksgiving 2012

We had Derreberry Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday, November 24th.  Most of the Derreberry clan was able to get together for a yummy Thanksgiving dinner at Grammy's house.  With such a large extended family, it's hard to get together often throughout the year.  Unfortunately, Aunt Susie and her family weren't able to come into town for this get together.  Hopefully we will see them soon!  We had a great time eating, catching up, and eating some more!  Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving 2012

For Thanksgiving dinner (Thursday, November 22nd) we went to Grammy's to enjoy a full Thanksgiving feast!  We were celebrating with the rest of Courtney's family over the weekend but Grammy wanted to do a meal for just us.  We are so thankful to God for our families, our friends, our jobs, and all the other blessings in our life that God gives us!  Happy Thanksgiving!

Fantasy of Trees: 12 Days of Christmas 2012

We went to Children's Hospital's Fantasy of Trees on Wednesday, November 21st.  After a long morning at the Zoo, we hoped that everyone wouldn't be too worn out!  Carter and Camden did very well looking at all the Christmas decorations.  Their favorite part was (and always is) the craft section but most importantly... decorating a sugar cookie!  Whatever craft Carter wanted to do, Camden thought she had to do too!  Our babies are growing up way too fast!  We, of course, had to stop by the Amherst tree and guess what???  It was already SOLD!  Courtney puts her blood, sweat, and tears into planning, shopping, and setting up the tree so she was very excited to learn the tree sold at the Gala the night before!  Our family really enjoys going to Fantasy of Trees each year!  It's our family Thanksgiving tradition!
Our precious family of 4!
Grammy with Camden, Reed, Carter, and Owen!
 Amherst's Santa Claus tree!
Every year Carter makes a new ornament to hang on our tree!
We love seeing his little thumb prints grow each year!
We made the thumb print ornament with Camden too!
Carter wanted to color a reindeer so of course, Camden did too!
Carter was in deep concentration coloring Rudoloph's nose!
 Camden enjoyed using markers!
Grammy and Carter decorated a sugar cookie together!
Camden used her icing stick like a fork to scrap off all the icing and eat it!
Silly girl!

We Are Thankful for the Zoo!

On Wednesday, November 21st, since school was out for Thanksgiving break, we decided to take advantage of the nice weather and head to the Zoo!  Several of the animals were out enjoying the nice weather too!  We are so thankful for having this time off and for being able to have fun family time together at the Zoo!
Camden had fun at the Wee Play Zoo!
 Peek-A-Boo!
Is this not the cutest construction worker you have ever seen?
Carter absolutely LOVES building the ball ramps with Joe at the Wee Play Zoo!
Carter liked watching the elephants eat their dinner!

Amherst Fall Carnival

On Friday, November 16th, we went to Amherst Elementary's Fall Carnival (the school where Courtney teaches).  We let Carter and Camden play several kiddie games and then went to the cafeteria to eat some pizza and dessert! YUMMY!  When we were talking about the carnival, Carter was very excited about the idea of playing on the inflatable bounce stuff!  His excitement went away as soon as he saw all the other kids playing on it too!  He settled for practicing his karate skills by breaking a board in half!  He was SO PROUD of himself!  Karate Kid watch out!

Camden wanted to play too!
