Trick or Treat! (2012)

On Wednesday, October 31st (aka Halloween), the Taylors and Grammy came over for some neighborhood trick-or-treating!  After a quick dinner, we headed out to collect all the yummy candy our buckets could hold!  After a few houses, Camden and Courtney came back home to pass out candy at our house.  The others continued trick-or-treating for awhile until it got dark.  It was time for Carter and Camden to get their Halloween treats from Mommy and Daddy when they returned home.  They were both so excited to check out their treats (and empty all of its contents), it was hard to get pictures!  Overall, we had a great Halloween night with our family!  Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin Carving Time!

On Sunday, October 28th, our church had "Trunk or Treat".  Since it was raining, they moved the festivities indoors.  We were planning to go as a family of 4 but plans had to change when Camden started running a fever and was snotty- but no fear... we dressed our little Smokey Dog and took a quick picture!  Joe took Carter and he had such a blast playing games and collecting candy!  When they returned home, we decided to go ahead and start carving pumpkins.  Joe is such a perfectionist and does an INCREDIBLE job every year with the pumpkins!  He has always let Carter decide what "theme" he wants!  This year was no exception!  Carter LOVES helping with pumpkin carving and I'm so glad we have this family tradition!

Disney on Ice 2012

On Sunday, October 21st, we went to Disney On Ice.  We have been going ever since we started dating over 12 years ago!  It is so much more fun now having children!  Seeing their faces light up when they saw Mickey and Minnie was the highlight of the show!  Carter is at the age where he really enjoys watching the show!  Camden enjoyed it this year as well but was getting a *little* restless by the end of the show... hello popcorn!  Fortunately we bought seats that were on the first row of the balcony so they had room to get up and wiggle around!  Disney on Ice was a great show this year!

Oakes Farm Pumpkin Patch 2012

On Saturday, October 20th, we went to Oakes Farm in Corryton to have a day of fun at the Pumpkin Patch!  Grammy and the Taylors went with us too!  First up, a hayride to the pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkin for carving!  We stopped mid day to have some yummy (and so fattening) fried foods... a corn dog, deep fried oreos, and deep fried funnel cake sticks!  After that we headed to the "Back 40" to play games and to get lost in the corn maze!  We had a wonderful busy day and can't wait until next Fall to go again!

Boo at the Zoo 2012

On Friday, Ocotber 19th we met Grammy and Cousin Owen at the Knoxville Zoo's Boo at the Zoo.  We have been going to this event each year since Carter was a little baby!  It's fun to trick-or-treat while getting to look at some of the zoo animals!  We had a wonderful time getting all kinds of treats... especially the Krispy Kreme doughnut at the end!
