Boo at the Zoo 2012

On Friday, Ocotber 19th we met Grammy and Cousin Owen at the Knoxville Zoo's Boo at the Zoo.  We have been going to this event each year since Carter was a little baby!  It's fun to trick-or-treat while getting to look at some of the zoo animals!  We had a wonderful time getting all kinds of treats... especially the Krispy Kreme doughnut at the end!

Sibling Love

We couldn't imagine our lives without these two precious little blessings!  Watching them interact with one another warms our hearts!  Carter tells us all the time, "Camden is my best friend and I'm her best friend!".  They are just too sweet... most of the time!  For some reason this month (September) we have lots of "sibling love" shots!  We hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we do!

 Playing in Camden's room!
Having fun in the kitchen sink!
 Tea Party time!

Carter absolutely LOVES feeding Camden... although she can feed herself!

Our Visit Aboard Titanic!

On Monday, September 3rd, we went to visit the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge.  They were having "Free Teacher Month" during September.  We have been anxiously awaiting for a free teacher invite so we were thrilled when we found out about this deal!  There were no pictures allowed inside the museum so we were only able to get a few shots outside after our "voyage".  The musuem was very interesting for adults but not so much for younger children.  Fortunately, most of Courtney's family were able to go too so they helped keep Carter and Camden entertained.

Labor Day Weekend Fun at the Zoo!

On Saturday, September 1st, we headed to the Knoxville Zoo to start our Labor Day Weekend! Carter wanted to go play in the water at the Splash Pad so we decided the zoo was the perfect spot for some splash pad fun. It wasn't crowded at all (thankfully) and the weather was perfect! We even got to watch an elephant birthday party! We all had a wonderful start to our weekend and are so thankful that we have this time off together!
Daddy and Carter being silly!
Camden wasn't as fearful on this trip to the petting zoo area!
When this goat got up and started walking, Big Brother Carter swooped in the save his baby sister! (although there was no danger, he was very concerned that she stayed safe- LOVE IT!)
We started out playing in the water at the Kid's Cover area and had it completely to ourselves!
Both kids loved splashing around the lily pads!
The elephants were given paper mache balloons filled with veggies and even got to "unwrap" a big box with treats inside.
Carter and Camden LOVE playing at the zoo's Splash Pad!
Carter loves dumping water on himself!
Camden loves running 100 miles an hour through the water sprinklers!

Weekend Visit with MawMaw

MawMaw came into town to visit the weekend of Friday, August 24th- Sunday, August 26th.  We all loaded up and headed to the Children's Museum of Oak Ridge on Saturday, August 25th.  Carter and Camden had a blast... as always when we go there!  They loved having MawMaw to play with them in all the exhibits!  We love you, MawMaw, and are glad you were able to come into town to visit!
Carter hauling the vegetables he had "picked" from the garden.
 Spraying MawMaw... the beekeeper!
The Imagination Room is always a hit with our kids!  They love the fast slide!
MawMaw took both of them down the slide together!
 "Hello!  Can you hear me?"
Carter thought it was so funny that he could hear Joe talking to him!
 The cutest little students!
It's never too early to teach them about raising their hand for the teacher!  Haha!
Camden LOVES to play in the life-size dollhouse!  It's all her size!
Driving the big train!
All aboard the choo-choo train!

Watermelon Season

Our kids have eaten their weight in watermelon this summer!  We quickly discovered that watermelon is one of Camden's favorite foods!  Carter has always loved watermelon and now so does Camden!  We started out cutting the watermelon into bites but by the end of summer, we were giving them slices/chunks!  We can go through a large watermelon in a matter of days!  Good thing it's healthy for them!  YUMMY!

Camden's First Day of Daycare

School officially starts back for teachers on Tuesday, August 7th, but Courtney had a meeting on Monday, August 6th so the kiddos had to start daycare that day.  This was Camden's 1st experience with daycare.  Carter and Camden did so well being dropped off without too many tears.  Courtney cried more than they did!  We love our daycare and are so happy to know that they are being well cared for while we are at work!  Thank you God for having such wonderful women taking care of our children!  It is so comforting to know they are happy where they are at!
 Ready for daycare!
Camden went straight for the blocks when we got into her room!
She then found all the toys on the sheves!

Our Soccer Star!

This summer, Carter has been playing indoor soccer each Wednesday evening at Cool Sports.  He has been wanting to play soccer (like his older cousins) for quite some time so we finally found somewhere that 3 year olds can play.  He was so excited to go pick out his very own soccer ball, shin guards, and soccer shoes!  The first few classes were a little rough but by the end of the session, he was a soccer star!  He did so well, we decided to sign him up for the Fall session!  The last class of each session is award day.  After their "game", they each get presented with a medal.  Carter was so proud of his medal!  We are so proud of you, Carter Joseph Lancaster!
Carter loves to kick the ball as hard as he can!
Practicing soccer skills with his team!
 Clean up time!
