When MawMaw came into town to visit for a few days, we thought it would be fun to go back to the Zoo with Carter. Joe had to work at school so Courtney, Carter, and MawMaw went on Friday, June 4th. We were at the Zoo as soon as it opened and it was the PERFECT time! Many of the animals were out and about to welcome us!
We have been teaching Carter animal noises. That week, we told him that a bear says "ROAR!". We were excited that he actually got to see one so close this visit.
The penguins were putting on a show just for us! Carter couldn't figure out what these things were! We just told him "quack, quack" for now.
We visited the Butterly House. Carter LOVED all the butterfiles going everywhere! He tried to grab at a few but was a little too slow... thank goodness! He would have killed it.
A butterfly flew onto MawMaw and stayed on her the entire time we visited the Butterfly House. 
We got to watch the elephant give itself a mud bath! Carter just pointed at it the whole time!
Luckily we weren't too close. It got mud everywhere!
The camel tried to eat Carter's snack so MawMaw feed it some camel food!
The Zoo had the water exhibit open so we changed Carter and let him splash around before heading home.
