Super Carter!

We took Carter to the Children's Reading Festival on Saturday, May 22nd. He was a little too young to particpate in everything but he had fun even at his age. Since Super Why! was the main attraction, we took Carter to get a super hero cape. He wore it for most of the day. We couldn't stop laughing at him running around with his super hero cape. We met the author of "SkippyJon Jones" and had her autograph a few books for Carter and Courtney's class. We also got to meet Super Why!. Carter wasn't a bit afraid of this character. He normally won't go near dressed-up characters. Carter may have recognized Wyatt (Super Why!) because that show comes on right after his favorite, Sid the Science Kid. Carter was completely worn out from all the fun at the World's Fair Park!

Our family with Super Why!

The Knoxville Zoo had a booth set up at the Reading Festival. They brought a tiger's skull and held it for Carter to touch. They also had a little snake with them. Carter touched it with one finger... as instructed by the handler... and then tried to GRAB IT! AAHHH!!! The snake froze with fright! Our little man isn't afraid of ANYTHING!

After a hot day at the World's Fair Park, we changed Carter into his bathing suit so that he could play in the water. We wish you could see the look on his face but he wouldn't cooperate with us. He liked the water when it would go down and get very small but as soon as it shot up... he was finished!

Checking out the water and watching all the kids run around!
