Over Spring Break, we were able to go and visit Joe's family in Alabama. This was our first long car trip with Carter being older and he did very well considering he is only 13 months old! We packed him plenty of toys, snacks, silky blankets, and his newest love... a Sid the Science Kid DVD (this was an early present from the Easter Bunny!). Joe's sister, Elizabeth, and her husband, Mike, had just had their 1st child, Chase, about 2 weeks earlier. We were very excited to get to see our newest nephew and Carter's brand new cousin! He is just adorable!! Carter was very interested in him but was ready to move onto something new after a few minutes. Grandaddy and Nanny (Joe's dad and step-mom) were also able to come visit while we were visiting so that was a nice treat to see them at the same time!

Carter discovered that there were marshmallow chicks and ducks inside his eggs! Did we ever mention that our child LOVES food?

The next morning, we dressed Chase and Carter in matching outfits for a few pictures! 
Carter just wanted to "touch" (or poke) Chase with his finger. He would then look at all of us and just laugh!

Grandaddy and Nanny with the boys!After a few more pictures, we drove from Auburn to Birmingham to visit with MawMaw and PawPaw (Joe's mom and step-dad) and spend the night. PawPaw had just bought himself a new "toy"- a motorcycle! Carter loved to look at it and wasn't even afraid of the loud engine when it started up.
